Senior Manager - Corporate Engagement
Position Summary :
This position is primarily responsible for :
- Generating leads for student enrollment into the Bridge programs
- Carry engagement with B2B prospects and eventual clients, generated either through their own leads or through other sources
- Be a responsible representative of the institute, in the relevant community of business, industry and student fraternity
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
- Must exhibit thorough industry knowledge as normally obtained through years of industry experience and the completion of a Master's in industry specific related studies.
- 6-9 years of progressively responsible industry leadership positions or business-to-business consulting experience is preferred. Significant experience, wisdom and articulation to be able to engage with senior industry personnel at CXO (CHRO, CLO) level.
- Carries reasonable amount of industry knowhow (could be 1 industry such as Telecom, Consulting, BFSI, IT Solutions or a mix of more than, including familiarity with industry players, and some reference-able top personnel in companies. Expert knowledge of industry and industry specific national trends.
- Ability to effectively communicate in both written and oral formats to company personnel to perform the functions above is essential, together with the ability to convey a professional image and effectively represent the organization as appropriate in its relationship with executives in prospective alliance partner organizations.
- Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders, along with an eye for key decision makers and gatekeepers in a client organization. Must be able to demonstrate a high level of conceptual and strategic thinking to establish innovative educational solutions for corporate and industry clients.
- Display positive bias for action and result orientation evident from professional track record, coupled with very strong level of ethical and sustainable business practices.
- Reasonable degree of independent execution ability.
- Very clear understanding of Sales deliverables - appreciation of key metrics: Volumes, mix, topline, profitability- in a B2B sales perspective.
- Demonstrated success in consultative business development, solutions and execution skills.
- Comfort with concept selling and degree of evolving nature and ambiguity associated with business in formative stage.
- Aggressive and assertive in goal and task orientation. Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Resourceful, including understanding when/what internal resources to leverage to achieve sales results.
- Should possess an understanding of various education formats, specifically in the higher and continuing education space, including about available programs, players, methodologies and technology implications
Primary Accountabilities :
- Be an effective face and spokesperson for the institute
- Increase and maintain positive awareness of Bridge School of Management within the corporate, and retail customer community which will result in endorsement and enrolment for various IES programs.
- Own and deliver on the assigned Sales goals
- Assesses prospective client institution and business capability and potential for affiliation with the organization to support and achieve established goals and objectives.
- Initiates and negotiates all new client institution and business contracts, in conjunction with established goals and objectives; to secure placements, practitioner faculty leads, projects/internships for students within our institutions.
- Develop opportunities that will result in lead generation. Ensure leads are qualified and interested in entering a program of study.
- Take up assigned leads and independently (or with minimal required intervention) follow through to establish meaningful engagement with corporate clients, eventually leading to a close ongoing Industry-institute collaboration and predictable business conversion
- Participate in ongoing lead generating activities at corporations, industry events, fairs etc- to generate interest in IES programs.
- Participate in information meetings, orientations, and any other campus functions pertaining to students, businesses or other potential customers.
- Build an effective repository of market related trends, spot opportunities and client/prospect needs and present the information in a timely actionable manner
- Perform any other tasks and activities as assigned or apparent to achieve role result areas.
Travel :
- Some travel will be required.
