Purpose of the Role :
To develop, establish and drive marketing strategies for the portfolio to meet the category objectives in line with the organizational growth strategy.
Qualification & Experience :
- 2008 to 2010 Batch from Premier B-School
- At least 7 years marketing experience with at least 1-2 yrs experience of leading diverse personal care/foods brands of at least INR 500 crores including being responsible for formulation of marketing strategy, Category P&L, brand health measures and execution of ATL plans
- At least 1-2 years of experience managing and leading Brand teams
- At least 2-3 years Sales & Distribution experience
Key Deliverables of the Role:
Developing and implementing a category strategy to deliver against established goals:
- Develop both the short and long term strategy, operational and organizational plan for the Category.
- Manage Architecture &Equity of the portfolio including its variants
- Annual and quarterly P&L responsibility - topline and bottomline
- Approve & lead variant/category specific plans to deliver penetration and market share objectives
- Direct the development and execution of robust marketing/brand campaigns for the Category including communication development.
- Interface with the sales and trade/channel marketing teams for effective in-market execution.
Innovation :
- Identify further growth and extension opportunities for the portfolio involving forecasting & interpreting consumer trends and insights and any opportunities and/or threats emerging from the competitive or technological landscape.
- Work collaboratively with cross functional teams to develop new brand/product bundles and establish viability of the same.
- Develops suitable launch brand mix (6Ps) and Go-To-Market plans
- To determine new pricing and to set the pricing ladder to guide delivery of required contribution
Execution :
- Develop and drive new initiatives/launches, PR, communication & media, design agencies
- Develop and drive portfolio business plan with volume, gross margins and overall profitability
Commercial Effectiveness :
- To monitor, optimise and manage marketing budgets and gross margins for the portfolio
People Management :
- Develop and manage overall team dedicated to the category
