Branch Sales Manager - General Trade - Personal Care Division - Female


Position Overview :


As a Branch Sales Manager for General Trade within the Personal Care Division (Female), your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute sales strategies to achieve the division's sales targets. You will be responsible for managing a team of sales representatives and building strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers within the assigned territory. Your role will involve overseeing the entire sales process, including planning, forecasting, implementing sales initiatives, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Sales Strategy and Planning :

- Develop and implement effective sales strategies and action plans to achieve sales targets in the general trade sector.

- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and market trends.

- Set sales targets and objectives for the team and provide guidance and support to achieve them.

- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and strategies to increase brand awareness and drive sales.

2. Team Management :

- Recruit, train, and motivate a team of sales representatives, providing guidance and coaching to ensure high performance.

- Set clear sales targets for team members and monitor their progress, providing regular feedback and support.

- Conduct performance evaluations and take corrective actions as necessary.

- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and professional development.

3. Customer Relationship Management :

- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key retail accounts in the assigned territory.

- Collaborate with customers to understand their needs, address concerns, and provide solutions to maximize customer satisfaction.

- Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise in the sales process.

- Conduct regular meetings with customers to review sales performance, discuss business opportunities, and negotiate contracts or agreements.

4. Sales Execution and Monitoring :

- Monitor sales activities, track sales data, and analyze sales performance to identify areas for improvement and develop appropriate strategies.

- Ensure effective distribution of products, proper merchandising, and optimal shelf placement in retail outlets.

- Coordinate with the logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery and availability of products to meet customer demands.

- Prepare regular sales reports and present them to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for sales growth.

Qualifications and Requirements :

- MBA/PGDM - 2016,2017,2018-Pass out - Female

- Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Lucknow, Indore, Kolkata, Kozhikode

- SP Jain Institute of Management Research Mumbai

- Faculty Of Management Studies, Delhi

- Proven experience in sales and team management within the personal care industry or related FMCG sector. (Must)

- Strong knowledge of the general trade sector, including distributors, wholesalers, and retail channels.
