Branch Manager - Business Development & Operations for Logistic Company
Sales Administration & Support
- Build relationship with airlines / CHA / shipping lines / sub-agents to get the best & competitive prices, thus increasing the Branch GP.
- Drive a strong focus on account management and client retention to retain existing business and increase the - Wallet Share- with existing clients. Ensure such customers are visited every month to ensure building of strong relationships
- Monitoring the service quality feedback on a monthly basis and implementing corrective actions to ensure customer stickiness/ retention.
- Review sales performance on a weekly basis for all teams by analyzing various Sales MIS Reports.
- Review inactive accounts on a quarterly basis and ensure follow up on those accounts
- Manage operations for other / remote locations and branches where there is no physical presence on a Pan India basis
Operations
- Direct the branch in freight forwarding operations in line with the regional strategy
- Responsible for the management and key decisions pertaining to the day-to-day activities on operations, both air and ocean products for the branch
- Ensure all operations are carried out as per the SOPs laid down by the organization and agreed with the Customers
- Ensure adherence to compliance at all times
- Maintaining close coordination with overseas offices and consignees for pre-shipment and post-shipment documentations and all operational related activities.
- Ensure the Branch Operational costs are as agreed by the management
- Ensure the losses on account of operational errors are within agreed limits
- Work closely with the Product & Trade Lane Development teams to identify new products opportunities and develop creative solutions to fulfill client needs.
- Monitor sales performance and service levels by building strong MIS reporting structure. Conduct regular reviews to enhance productivity and focus on branch profitability.
Billing/ Documentation and Accounts Support
- Plan and communicate robust working capital requirements/ estimations on a fortnightly basis
- Closely monitor branch overheads and work closely with the teams to reduce costs.
- Review and control the credit timelines and payments of all customers. Ensure the CAF's is duly endorsed post checking the credit worthiness of the customer.
- Scrutiny and authorization of various reimbursement vouchers such as entertainment, travel and fuel.
- Responsible for overseeing and managing the office administration, capex management and stationary and communication costs of the branch (es).
- Manage and ensure vendor payments are made as per agreed SLA's / terms and conditions
- Ensure that the branch follow the norms of billing & the billing processes.
- Ensure that all documentation adheres to the local laws and internal quality standards
