PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Operating in a heightened competitive environment with multiple channel linkages, achieve targeted business results in the FMCG businesses through effective translation of the business strategy into Branch Plans. Provide leadership & motivation to the Branch team towards raising of performance standards and work effectively with the external environment.

Problem Solving
- Decision making authority for any situations spanning across functions in the branch
- Assist the respective Category Group teams in option generation and recommendation for category level inputs and activities
- Understand and cognize for interventions at a Category level for fulfillment of sales and productivity metrics
- Comprehend State level taxation and administration rules and own the process in the State
- Lead any state level interventions with regards to stock management, environment management with recommended solutions.
- Come up with novel ideas tested in single location to handle existing S&D related issues to ensure higher efficiency of servicing
- Lead intervention in emerging channels in Metro cities for proliferation of FMCG Categories
- Handle a team comprising multiple channels with a total of x manpower residing in these channels
- Handle a branch team comprising functions of Sales, Finance, HR, Logistics
Principal Accountabilities
- Development of Branch business plans and fulfillment of the same in line with systems set at a divisional level encompassing- Sales, S&D, Industry Affairs, People, Costs, EHS
- Understanding and cascade of the Branch Dashboard metrics to the branch team to create clear accountabilities basis the same
- Develop adequate expertise across channels including specialized channels
- Lead intervention in emerging channels for FMCG categories in Metro markets in the country
- Handle a larger than fair share of monetary resource allocation in a singular market and ensure efficacy of spends across channels
- Drive productivity increase in line with category and sub category objectives across channels with an end result to be at par or better than the lead competition in the market ; where the own brand is the leader ensure highest distribution efficacy
- Lead the Supply Chain role in the branch in co-ordination with District and branch logistics resource to ensure customer fill rates in full and as per agreed timelines
- Ensure Zero Non Adherence to laid down principles in order management and anchor Warehousing capabilities and standards in the branch
- Proactively interface with the environment in the state in conjunction with the Mgr T&RA
- Formulation of Industry Affairs plan for the district in consultation with Mgr. T&RA
- Adherence to Code of Conduct by the Branch team
- Confirmation to all Financial and administrative systems
- Ensure compliance to all EHS norms in the Branch
- Compliance with all statutory and regulatory norms
Managing Resources
- Manages a complex environment of multiple channels including specialized channels such as modern trade, HoReCa, Institutional, SPMV along-with conventional channels as in non Metro locations
- To develop adequate expertize across channels including specialized channels
- Continuously evaluate and recommend structure modifications basis newer channels coming up in Metro markets and also handle complex environments
- Heads entire branch including various functions and reporting authority across functions for the branch
- Manage cost of sales in the branch within set norms through efficient and standardized operations across customers
- Deploy new models of enabling improved service efficiency levels at same or reduced costs and study competition FMCG models on cost operations
- Back end systems to ensure smooth operation with regards to scheme management, order execution, budgetary controls in the branch
- Process for implementing merchandising spends and tracking in the market
Team Work
- Leads the branch team in terms of alignment to the divisional objectives and strategy and business plans for the year
- Interaction with the district team across functions and middle managers of the SBU
- Leads training and induction of new resources in the branch and assists the district team in recruitment and training of resources
- Ensure creation of a positive working environment in the branch with clear expectation levels across the team members
- Responsible for recruitment and people planning across channels
- Develop competencies of the team to ensure completion of developmental plans
- Responsible for training and induction of the branch team to ensure effective implementation in the market place
