Job Description : - Position based in Chennai, T Nagar - Tamil Language compulsory - 7-11 years in Procurement / Supply Chain - Candidates from Non IT companies ONLY - Industries such as Automobile, FMCG etc can be considered - Candidates with Indirect materials procurement experience can apply. - NO CANDIDATES ABOVE 12 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE About the Position : 1. Position Summary : - Budget and monitor DVC operation (logistics and Warehousing, Custom Clearance, Waste Sale, Labor relations etc.) for the Branch, develop new service providers, identify cost saving / productivity improvement initiatives formulate and facilitate sourcing strategy for Branch with the objective of optimizing overall costs and enhancing operational efficiencies. 2. Areas of Responsibility : - Lead, direct and manage team by identifying and deploying best practices and innovative strategies for Supply chain operations at our Chennai Branch. - Lead all indirect procurement activity and resultant management activities for Chennai Branch. - Complete purchasing order processing with Benchmarking of Vendor pricing against market rates. - Support internal customer by inputting knowledge and acting as the interface for any related requirements. - Manage supply chain, logistics and imports of all the shipments for Chennai Branch. - Effectively negotiate with vendors and ensure internal customer satisfaction & ensure compliance of commercial policies and statutory norms. - Plan & control commercial system, AMCs & contract, MIS, review of commercial processes & system. - Create supply chain capability across the Chennai region. - Work closely with the business teams to understand their purchasing needs and align them with the best suppliers to meet their long-term goals while focusing on total cost of ownership - Implement supply and supplier risk management actions and support resolution of supplier quality or performance issues. 3. Key skills/Core competencies required : - Strong leadership skills, including ability to motivate and manage people. - Solid decision - making ability using available facts in sensitive client and internal situations. - In-depth understanding of best-in-class procurement processes (sourcing, contracting, negotiation, etc.) - Broad procurement experience in various Indirect commodities such as FMS/Security/HVAC/Transport/3PL - Outstanding influencing and negotiation skills. - Strong verbal and written communication skills.
