Channel Development Manager (CDM)


Description:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Channel Development Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing, and expanding relationships with our business partners. This role involves strategic planning, managing relationships, setting targets, negotiating contracts, and closing deals. You will also be tasked with identifying and reaching out to potential partners, and developing plans to increase revenue.

Responsibilities:

- Identify, develop, and expand relationships with distribution partners.

- Develop and implement strategic plans to meet business goals.

- Negotiate contracts and close deals with partners.

- Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to ensure business goals are met.

- Identify and reach out to potential partners.

- Develop plans to increase revenue.

- Take ownership of Distributor Management System (DMS), including monitoring billing, closing stocks, and conducting inventory audits.

- Conduct due diligence of potential distributors before appointment, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

- Travel regularly to visit distributors, evaluating their performance and providing feedback to the sales team.

- Collaborate with distributors and sales teams to develop strategic plans to meet business goals.

- Monitor distributor performance metrics such as Lines per Outlet (LPO), Width of Distribution (WOD), and other key performance indicators.

- Implement and oversee incentive schemes, publishing data for distributor rankings.

- Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of distributor performance and market insights.

Requirements:

- A master's degree in business or a related field.

- At least 6-8 years of experience in channel development or a related role.

- Strong understanding of the market and industry trends.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong strategic planning and management skills.

- Ability to work with data managing and reporting.
