Objective : The buyer will drive &amp; maximize sales &amp; business profitability by guiding effective merchandise strategies. Planning and management of assortment &amp; inventory at category/product level to achieve or exceed strategic business targets viz. Topline, Sell-Thru, Gross Margin, etc. He/she must have a keen eye to detail and must be able to take decisions driven by profitability and customer needs. Key Responsibilities : - Research and understand customer's buying patterns and company budget - Quarterly product selection for the brand across channels and supporting overall business strategy - Be the key point of contact for all vendors and manage and grow the business with them - Negotiate with Suppliers for best pricing in line with competition to deliver the targeted net margins at business and category level - Update management on the order status - Update inventory and ensure stock levels at appropriate level - Inventory study and tweak buy plan accordingly - Makes a plan based on targets shared by CEO's office&nbsp; - The plan should have an analysis on the customer demands basis price points and seasonal impact and fashion trends - Comparison of price points with direct competitors Key Skills : - Must have strong product knowledge (garment and garment construction) and decision-making skills, proficient in researching trends and competitors - Must have strong analytical &amp; negotiation skills and must be hands on with open costing - Must have good numerical competency, knowledge of Advance Excel for reporting and analysis - Must have good planning and execution skills Education &amp; Experience : - PG in Retail Management/Fashion Management from a reputed business or fashion institute - 5-8 years of experience in similar role of buying with a modern fast fashion brand/export houses/retail organization - Strong product knowledge of the category/brand
