Job Summary: As Chief Technical Architect, you will manage all aspects of engineering and product at BookMyForex. You will have multiple responsibilities including recruiting and managing the engineering teams, architecture and technical design development, providing best practice points of view and being the authority for engineering methods and processes. You will guide the design, user interface, and technology integration of projects. Using your expertise on enterprise-wide trends you will also act as a business advisor and realize new business opportunities. Primary Responsibilities: - Build, train and manage a team of 10+ in-house engineers and external vendors to deliver the product - Work with business stakeholders to provide technical solutions that deliver to business needs. - Extract requirements, lead design, estimation, planning and implementation of IT systems and assume full product responsibility - Perform code reviews and code refactoring to increase application scale, reduce latency and code duplication - Create processes to optimize and automate (wherever possible) development, builds and product quality - Constantly evaluate cutting edge technologies and suggest adopting specific technologies to improve business/ product efficiency - Own the product roadmap and manage high, mid and low level project plans - Ability to deliver compelling presentations to senior internal stakeholders. Requirements: - BS or higher in Computer Science or related field with 10+ years of experience in Java/ J2EE applications - Must have experience in manage large scale application on distributed environment. - Must have experience in end to end development. - Must have experience in Build and Release. - Must have experience in Production Support. - Ability to deliver in close deadlines. - Must have Ubuntu experience. - Must have experience in Stateless Restful API. - Good to have knowledge of S.E.O. - Must have Strong documentation Skills. - Must have experience in creating production server. - An entrepreneurial bend of mind with start-up experience is highly desired. Must have a strong sense of ownership with a - get stuff done- kind of attitude. Must take initiative to come up with new ideas and deliver production-perfect products - Must be able to extract requirements post interactions from stakeholders and create comprehensive specifications for engineering team, complete with mockups/ wireframes - Deep experience in enterprise architecture, design patterns and implementation of custom developed solutions - Excellent understanding of object oriented and relational databases concepts - Experience of working with distributed, highly concurrent and performance sensitive applications - Proven leadership and managerial skills to manage a track of work of 10+ people, throughout the project lifecycle. - Experience in leading agile, TDD development projects that promote rapid iterations along with setting up related build processes such as continuous integration and automated test suites - Experience in Java related technologies such as spring, hibernate/ JPA, JSPs, JUnit - Experience with micro service architecture along, large scale API deployments and ESBs - Past experience of working with front end technologies such as JS, Jquery, Bootstrap/ LESS, HTML, CSS - Experience with caching technologies such as EhCache, Memcached, HazelCast, Redis - Experience with linux and shell scripting. Familiarity with Tomcat/ Apache HTTPD/ Varnish/ Nginx - Experience with managing production environments on cloud infrastructure such as AWS or Google cloud is a must - Experience with mobile development is a strong plus - Experience with performance/ load testing and profiling tools is a strong plus - Experience with NoSQL/ big data technologies such as MongoDB, Hadoop, Cassandra is a strong plus
