Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement plan for cost optimization of raw material through international and domestic sourcing while maintaining quality standard requirements
- Develop Quality standard requirements in close coordination with internal stakeholders - Production and category team
- Analyse industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and utilize emerging opportunities
- Benchmark sources by regions, pricing, timelines and commercial terms to capture market dynamics and trends
- Responsible for negotiations for best possible cost service guarantee and develop - win-win- strategies that achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers
- Implement supplier agreements/contracts by working with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers to reach agreement on contract terms and conditions
- Maintain and develop supplier relationships (trade shows, supplier meetings, conferences, etc.)
- Develop a supplier management program with key suppliers including metrics, performance goals and improvement initiatives
- End-to-End responsibility for import process from source international factory to warehouse including all commercial and transactional paperwork formalities
- Own SLAs for delivery of material to a warehouse and proactively intervene wherever required to resolve issues
- Establishes purchasing policies and ensures compliance by supplier and internal teams
Profile Requirements :
- Prior experience in international sourcing in Home interior products or related manufacturing industries
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with prior 5+ year of industry experience or MBA with minimum 2+ years of experience in relevant industry
- Macro & Microeconomics of Product COGS and impact on sourcing/country strategy
- Experience in global sourcing, manufacturing, costing, supply chain management, international logistics, product compliance/quality assurance, social accountability, and product development
- Strong negotiation skills
- Track record of taking ownership and driving results
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Excel and project lifecycle management
- Unwavering attention to detail and an acute awareness that everything counts
- Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners to get things done
- Desire and ability to thrive in a fast paced environment, and to effectively lead work on
