JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: General Manager – HR
LOCATION: Mumbai
EXPERIENCE: 15 to 18 yrs
QUALIFICATION: MBA from a reputed Institute
JOB PURPOSE:
To provide leadership & direction in the entire gamut of HR function and strategic Industrial Relations for some of the Wadia Group Companies / establishments, Namely - Bombay Burmah Trading , National Peroxide, Gherzi Eastern Ltd. & Wadia Hospital with focus in the areas of:
1. Strategic Human Resource Management in alignment with the Business
2. Reviewing & strengthening Recruitment & Selection process
3. Reviewing and recommending changes in Compensation & Benefits policies
4. Streamlining & strengthening Performance Management System
5. Improving Employee Engagement level
6. Reviewing HR policies & procedures and make necessary changes
7. Carrying out Organizational Design and Changes wherever necessary.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES –
1. To play an important role in all strategic Human resource issues in close collaboration with the Business Heads.
2. To make an inventory of the critical skill and competencies required at different levels and plan for their enhancement based on the Business requirement.
3. Oversee preparation of annual manpower plan by gathering requirements from each organization ensure adherence to annual recruitment budget.
4. To establish a robust recruitment and selection and induction process to ensure right man on the right job.
5. Design and review HR Policies & Procedures in alignment with the overall organization strategy.
6. Ensure implementation & monitoring of all HR systems, policies & procedures.
7. To facilitate the KRA/ Goal setting process for performance appraisal in alignment with the Business objectives.
8. To facilitate the performance Review process and administer all aspects of the Performance Management system cycle.
9. To Facilitate and provide direction on all strategic Industrial relations issues including signing of Long Term Settlements.
10. To identify critical positions in the organization, prepare and execute a Succession planning process.
11. To identify critical talent in the Organization and prepare their Individual Development Plan.
12. Oversee annual review of compensation and benefits structure of the company and suitably modify the compensation structure, in line with the market practices.
13. To carry out Training Need Identification on all functional and Behavioral needs, design Training Calendar and execute Training Program Delivery.
14. Develop and implement HR Standard Operating Procedures & continuously update the same.
DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE:
- Must have work experience in Manufacturing organizations at corporate office
- Must have some experience of handling union negotiations
- Should have conceptual clarity on Organizational Behavior
- Should have sufficient experience in handling all core HR systems and processes
- Should be a good Team Leader
- Should possess good level of initiative and proactive approach
