BOLT - Procurement Manager (4-15 yrs)
Key responsibilities:
- Contribute to Make/Buy and Design/Buy analysis to have early supplier involvement in projects.
- Bring supplier market knowledge through co-development & innovation.
- Ensure Request for Quotation (RFQ), cost finalization, sample development, part approval in close coordination with the project team while securing parts procurement for prototype, pilot & mass production as per target dates.
- De-risk the supply chain by providing inputs on Supply Chain Risk Management and to achieve the multi-sourcing target and by performing Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)
- Ensure that category choices fit with project needs and deploy regional and global category strategies within the project. Challenge & Influence SOC when required.
- Dare to disrupt by bringing supplier market knowledge and innovation into projects.
- Take responsibility for the negotiation of all purchasing terms and conditions with suppliers including contracts for strategic parts and components;
- Ensure timely parts & tools development with existing or new suppliers per capacity/capability analysis through process audits & frequent supplier visits.
- Proactively resolve critical issues on regular basis without affecting manufacturing/manufacturing/production:
Act like the owner to -
- Achieve cost reduction at every stage gate to bring market competitiveness to product
- Launch the product within/earlier than scheduled timelines and with the right quality through flawless execution of the process
- Meet multi-sourcing and SOC targets are given by line of business
- Create supplier innovation
Qualifications
Must have:
- Education: Bachelor of Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- Master's degree in engineering or MBA would be added advantage
- Min. 3 year's experience in electronics Procurement/Sourcing/ Component Engineering /Electronics hardware design / Electronics Industrial Engineering.
- Knowledge of mechanical part manufacturing (moulding, stamping) & printed/packing parts would be added advantage
- Experience in the sourcing of electronic/electrical parts, product cost management, and reverse auction.
- Experienced working with cross-functional teams
Good to have:
- Knowledge of outsourcing design, co-development, brand labelling & software purchasing
- Knowledge of purchasing legal agreements
Soft skills:
- Fluent in English and multicultural experience (good to have Kannada and, Hindi)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Possesses good interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to perform under pressure and high-matrix organization structure
- Result-oriented, resourceful and aggressive to drive continuous improvement.
