Role Ownership: The Centre of Excellence (CoE) Lead's primary responsibility will be to lead, manage and grow the Centre of Excellence, setting the standards and policies of the CoE and ensuring that they align with the strategic outcomes of the Operating Model & delivery.

Primary/Short Term:

1. Establish & Strengthen CoE structure and practices.

2. Understand the current systems and processes in place and set up CoE Structure, Relationship and Deliverables. Map and standardize across the organization

3. Streamline the CoE operations, in FLG & SBU.

4. Complete a thorough need analysis of the organization

5. Start identifying and researching optimal long-term structure and systems

6. Create accountability and a team environment in the department

Secondary/Long Term:

1. Establish CoE structure. Liaise with subject matter experts and create a plan/strategy at the group level

2. Mentor SBU teams & create a pipeline of talent.

3. Identify 3-5 key processes that need to be improved based on the risk analysis and commence executing these improvements.

4. From 1 & 2, bring efficiencies in the organization that is reflected on the bottom line

5. Build Group wise data-driven culture.

Qualifications: CA or MBA, Lean Six Sigma BB, Scrum Master, Certified BI Analyst, Project Management Certification


Experience: 15 yrs, 3 yrs as CoE or shared services at least

Age: 45

Industry: Retail/FMCG background

Duties & Responsibilities:

Establish/Execute Priorities - Collaborate with peers, SBU Head and CXO team on CCOE plans, priorities & deliverables (25%)


- Drive the implementation of the CoE strategy and lead the design and implementation of a common program management methodology, standards and tools to drive and facilitate the successful delivery of projects. Focus on the building of SBU data-driven culture..

- Identify and define the major strategic issues for the BU and integrate diverse stakeholder interests with BNB's broader agenda to inform the development and prioritization of program initiatives and to proactively understand and mitigate risks.

- Lead the execution of a CoE governance, reporting and review framework to provide a holistic view of all organizational project activity and manage interdependencies and coordination across projects to ensure that information relating to project deliverables, risks and issues are effectively communicated between stakeholders and that key performance indicators are monitored and evaluated.

- Lead strategic and business planning processes, aligning division priorities and resources to support BNB and individual BU's shared objectives.

- Implement strategic plans and optimize operational performance with appropriate controls and processes across the CoE to ensure the CoE's commitment to BNB's improvement and other critical priorities to reflect BNB's, SBU's and CoE frameworks, policies and guidelines.

- Drive and evaluate operational performance outcomes which contribute to the achievement of the BNB Groupe's strategy and be accountable for providing detailed and reliable analysis to support strategic and dynamic decision-making processes and to identify and drive opportunities for innovation.

- Foster a culture that drives and encourages high performance, collaboration, agility and accountability in the delivery of business outcomes aligned with the BNB's and Individual BU's strategy; while modelling and promoting a strong risk culture throughout the business unit in line with the BNB's risk management and governance frameworks.

- Lead, motivate and mentor the team, monitoring performance, fostering ongoing professional development and ensuring staff have the knowledge and skills to achieve their work objectives in alignment with BNB's Core values.

- CoE Lead is accountable for the performance of the Centre of Excellence (COE Program) and the achievement of the each BU Department's objectives.

- To ensure minimizing the back-end cost at each business unit level targeting 80 :20 approach where 80% back-end manpower will sit in India and rest to manage and partner with business sit in units.

- Develop SLAs for all COE activities and help team in achieving the same

- Identify performance metrics for all functions and putting in place a monitoring mechanism

Coaching/Development:

- Collaborate with each team member (direct reports) to establish annual objectives.

- Provide clear and concise guidance to direct reports to streamline ways of working, meet deadlines and deliver goals.

- Support individual skills development to reach career aspirations or course correct as needed.

Reporting & Data:

- Owns relationship and ensure timely delivery of data and accuracy of information/reports. Can generate data insights and curate the data story.

- Identifies and analyzes emerging industry trends and assesses potential impact to SBU, KAM and retail outlets, and other partners.

- Provides intel and insights to marketing on what is working/ not-working with customers to set brands up for success.

Development Initiatives:

- Oversee annual developmental objective development of CoE.

- Ensure the annual plan includes focused developmental support for each team member.

- Establish goals for training module completion (based on brand priorities) and set reporting.
