Job Purpose :

- Zonal Modern Trade Sales Manager will be driving sales and revenue growth in the modern trade channel within their zones.

- A Zonal Modern Trade Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing the sales and marketing activities of a company's modern trade business in a specific geographic zone.

The job description :

1. Develop and implement sales strategies: responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve the company's revenue goals within their zone. This involves analyzing market trends, identifying sales opportunities, and developing effective sales plans.

2. Build and maintain relationships: responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers at large retail chains and supermarket groups within their zone. This includes negotiating contracts, managing pricing and promotions, and providing excellent customer service.

3. Monitor and analyze performance: Responsible for monitoring and analyzing the performance of the company's products in the modern trade channel within their zone. This involves analyzing sales data, identifying trends, and developing strategies to improve performance.

4. Manage budgets: Responsible for managing the sales and marketing budgets for the modern trade channel within their zone. This includes developing budgets, monitoring spending, and ensuring that all activities are within budget.

5. Provide leadership and guidance: Provide leadership and guidance to the modern trade sales team within their zone. This includes setting performance goals, coaching team members, and providing regular feedback.

6. Stay up-to-date with industry trends: Responsible for staying up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies within their zone. This includes attending trade shows, conferences, and industry events.

Requirement :

Zonal Modern Trade Sales Manager position should be self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work well under pressure. They should also have a passion for sales, a deep understanding of the modern trade industry, and a track record of achieving sales targets and goals.

Education : A Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.

Experience : At least 5 years of experience in sales, with a focus on modern trade channels such as hypermarkets, supermarkets, and convenience stores. Experience managing a sales team is also preferred.

Industry knowledge : A deep understanding of the modern trade industry, including market trends, competitor analysis, and channel-specific strategies.

Communication skills : Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver effective presentations and negotiate with clients.

Leadership skills : Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing and motivating a team to achieve sales targets and goals.

Analytical skills: Ability to analyze sales data and develop strategic plans to improve sales performance in the zone.

Relationship-building skills: A natural ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and customers.

Problem-solving skills: The ability to identify and solve problems that may arise in the sales process.

Technology skills: Proficiency in using modern sales tools, such as CRM software, sales analytics tools, and digital marketing channels.

Flexibility:
Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours, as needed, to meet sales objectives and support the sales team.
