Blue Tokai Coffee Roasters - Chief of Staff

Our team at Blue Tokai Coffee Roasters is expanding and we are looking for an experienced professional as Chief of Staff. This role entails helping translate organisational strategy into execution, drive rapid decision making, drive CXOs and department heads towards higher performance and achieving organisational priorities.

Responsibilities

Drive Speed & Efficiency at Founder's Office

- Interpret, simplify and prioritise relevant data/insights to drive decision making via the Founders' office

- Understand and cascade Founders' priorities and influence CXOs, drive strategic alignment towards faster decision making

- Work with HR for senior leadership hiring, serve as the critical round of filters before the Founders

- Partner with CHRO to review, design, and execute on improvements to organisation structure

Drive Organisation Performance & Execution

- Drive focus and accountability within the executive team on a day-to-day basis

- Oversee daily operations through collaboration with senior management and department leaders

- Develop frameworks and scorecards to measure and track performance of departments and CXOs

- Drive periodic reviews (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly) on agreed performance metrics

- Oversee strategic business initiatives from development stages to successful execution

- Facilitate cross functional collaboration to support key projects and initiatives

Communication

- Work closely with the internal communications team for preparation and dissemination of communication regarding the organisational vision, strategy and achievements

- Collaborate with internal communications team to prepare materials for Founders' address for internal and external platforms

Eligibility Criteria

- MBA from Tier 1/2 institutes

- 10+ years of experience spanning operations, project management, strategy or consulting roles

- Strong experience in cross-functional businesses, product or program/project management roles

- Ability to influence without direct authority in situations where progress is slow or critical deliverables are stalling

- Self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity and a quick learner with ability to adapt to new situations or projects

- Ability to handle confidential information with the highest level of integrity

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Ability to interpret multiple datasets and derive insights

- Last few years in a high-growth startup will be a distinct advantage
