BlowHorn - Head - Collections

Blowhorn is looking for a Head of Collections to strategize and lead a high performance team. This is a high impact role that works closely with the Founding team and will be based out of Bangalore.

The ideal candidate will be apt in building strong relationships with strategic customers and put in place effective collections strategies for the Company. Should have a B2B collections background.

We brainstorm to understand and explore the difficult problem and come up with the best solution for the hardest problems that impact the world. You will develop broad-ranging skills working on a wide variety of initiatives. You will take responsibility for your projects, but you'll also have teammates who look out for you. We operate in a "get s- t done" environment where the goal is always to execute and implement. You will not forget to have fun!

What you will do :

- Setting payment collection goals and targets for the department

- Creating and implementing a strategy to improve the collection of outstanding credit

- Implementing collection policies and procedures to avoid excessive outstanding credit

- Also plan on the recovery of aged receivables and execute the plans to get the collections

- Implementing deadlines for invoicing and payment collection

- Negotiating with customers in cases when non-payment occurs

- Preparation of dashboard and Metrics for the management on the AR aging and subsequent collection plan

- Preparing monthly feedback reports on collections and plan vs. actuals

- Providing collection estimates to the management with reasonable precision (90%+)

- Providing daily tracker to the collections estimates as to the collections realized

- Driving collection strategies for collections by account

- Overseeing staff members and ensuring the accurate and timely invoicing of customers

- Training and mentoring of staff members in the collections department

What we are looking for :

- Graduate or Post Graduate in any stream

- Candidates with 12 years experience in B2B collections only

- Should have managed a team of collection executives
