Position Title : VP Marketing (Branding)
Reporting to : CEO
Experience : 8- 15 Years (2-5 years as a Marketing or Branding Head for a Media or Branding agency)
Location : New Delhi or Bangalore
Qualification : MBA from a Tier 1 Business school/ Post graduate in Mass Communication
Job Purpose:
- This role is responsible for developing branding and marketing strategy across the Group.
- The incumbent will oversee the development and implement of governance frameworks, policies and usage guidelines across the Group.
- He/she will also supervise a team to deliver a range of global Corporate Branding activities including trademarks management, advertising, internet management, image and video development, brand collaterals, events, sponsorships and industry awards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop the Group and its business units’ global brand strategies, ensuring that they are in alignment and positioned to meet both corporate and business goals
- Develop and implement external communication plan to elevate organizational branding
- The Group’s brand guardian, be responsible for corporate brand identities governance and usage guidelines across all of Group’s internal and external communication material
- Provide expert advice and support to project teams on formulating branding strategies and implementing branding activities for their projects
- Develop and manage the Group’s image and video stockpile ensuring that it meets corporate and business objectives
- Oversee the development, procurement, production and distribution of Group branding collaterals worldwide
- Direct the execution of key corporate events and initiatives
- Manage global event sponsorships and oversee the coordination of same
- Manage the registry and development of vessel names
- Oversee organizational submissions for industry award programs worldwide
- Develop and implement Group-wide website governance framework, policy, and usage guidelines
- Manage the Group corporate website
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- Oversee the annual branding budget
- Supervise and manage a team of branding executives
- Responsible for both setting and executing strategy for Group and its subsidiaries globally
- Communicate frequently with senior management both in corporate functions and business units. Also will serve as Group’s representative to external parties eg. Industry bodies
Requirements:
- MBA / Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a related field
- 10 to 12 years in public relations/corporate communications or journalism
- Experience in the Media industry is preferred
- Excellent understanding of how branding strategies can help drive business goals
- Strong analytical skills and financial acumen with experience in budget management
- Highly competent in accurate, written English; Excellent, fluent verbal communicator in English
- Proven track record in media relations, internal communications, event management and social media a must
- Confident counselor to senior executives
- Be able to build an internal network and to engage consistently with colleagues around the company globally
- Ability to engage and persuade multiple stakeholders
- Team player and self-starter with a strong drive to succeed
