BIRA 91 || Manager - Supply Chain || Bottle Management SUMMARY OF THE POSITION The position will be responsible to lead the expansion of the market bottle network for performance review standards across the manufacturing units in respective Region and Works in close partnership with various supply chain partners including internal stakeholders such as Production Planning, Breweries, Stores, as well as external stakeholders such as Returnable bottle suppliers. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Operations: - Preparing roadmap regions wise to build supply network of market bottles - Developing robust supply network of market return bottles in all regions - Identifying new vendors, assessing them from market performance review standards and contract implementation - Providing key inputs to the region/brewery bottle leads to increase market returns - Keeping a track of input costs (cullet, packing, fuel and freight etc) & looking to optimize the costs - Completing all vendor onboarding formalities e.g. audit, legal agreement sign off, necessary approvals etc - Driving vendor support program for identified market bottle vendors of the region and Strengthening vendor relationship - Publishing MIS at vendor/unit/region level to track the monthly/yearly performances against budgeted cost/volume - Resolving vendor issues to ensure an uninterrupted supply chain of returnable market bottles - Exploring new technologies to improve the bottle market returns process - Lead the value chain for returnable empty glass bottles to ensure the availability of returnable bottles at all breweries per the packaging plan to maintain 100% production reliability - Ensure 100% adherence to budgeted volume and cost targets for the returnable glass bottles - Scheduling for new bottle production and stocks at vendor end. - Drive synergies in line with the target to achieve KPIs by maximizing old glass usage for production. - Monthly tracking and reconciliation of bottle pool across regions. - Market visits for addressing issues to closely monitor supply chain issues. Process Improvement: - Establish SOPs and protocols to minimize losses and turn-around-time for bottle returns - Supplier/Brewery visits for addressing issues, and strengthening internal/external stakeholder management. - Monitor monthly & annual vendor allocations as per the contract - Analyze and understand full recovery rate and identify areas of opportunity to improve impact. Payment Processing/Accounting: - Monthly provisioning and payment processing for vendor invoices - Work closely with the Finance team to address vendor payment issues. - Closely monitoring the actual returnable bottle inventory for all the breweries - Periodic account reconciliation and timely submission of NDCs MIS and Reporting: - Database management for analysis and quick decision-making - Create dashboard to track returnable bottle performance and share periodic KPI report - Develop analytical solutions that provide actionable insights and patterns to support packaging requirements at lowest cost to the organization QUALIFICATION AND SKILL SET - Any graduate & post-graduate/MBA/Masters/PG Diploma in Supply Chain/ Material Management - 2 years+ of supply chain experience preferably in FMCG/Data Consulting industries - Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint - Good Analytical & Understanding of costing concepts - Excellent negotiation skills - Strong Analytical Skills & knack of problem solving - Strong in Decision Making - Through knowledge in bottle sourcing, vendor networking, reverse logistics, bottle pricing - Willingness to travel
