Manager - RM Procurement

Role & Responsibilities:

- Sourcing of direct material - Raw material, brewing consumables and chemicals

- Responsible to lead procurement for all Raw material, chemicals, and ingredients, Identify and develop strategic suppliers for key raw materials

- To procure material at most competitive prices and reduce/hold product cost to improve profitability

- To ensure right quality of material in accordance with B9 quality standards

- To ensure availability of materials at all manufacturing locations without loss of production

- To maintain cost effective inventory with least lead time and without compromising production loss

- Develop, implement & monitor right procurement strategy to ensure sourcing of right quality material at optimum price with shortest possible lead time

- Creating and maintain annual budgets for raw material and keep a track on budget V/s actuals

- To lead contracting with inputs from legal & user departments

- To develop and maintain material planning collaterals for identifying ordering and inventory requirement basis the annual, rolling, and firm monthly plan

- Supporting for new development and NPD launches

- To maintain and share dashboards/reports on the major KPIs such as Plan vs actual cost of material, inventory levels, write offs, credit terms etc.

Vendor Management:

- Actively manage the portfolio of suppliers to strengthen partnerships with key suppliers and continuously manage suppliers' performance

- Maintain the relationship with the vendors to ensure good, reliable sources of supply and information about the market best practices and inflation trend

- Closely work with plant team to identify local vendors and develop for Raw material, consumables and chemicals.

- Optimize the delivered cost for the raw material through different levers such as price negotiations, alternate vendor development, defining share of business, alternate product development etc.

- To monitor the pricing trends that impact the cost of finished goods and lead periodic price reviews with all the key suppliers.

- Coordinate with vendor on day to day operations to ensure material availability on time and as per the agreed specifications.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILL SET:

- BSC/MSC/Food technology from reputed institute.

- 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing with Chemical or FMCG mfg company

- Material planning, management, inventory, vendor development and management

- Strategic procurement and planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

- SAP-MM knowledge is must.

- Ability to motivate and drive Performance

- Focus on Delivery, continuous improvement for customer delight
