SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:

The Plant Finance Manager will be responsible for supporting the accounting group with month end financial closing duties, as well as all budgeting, forecasting, and costing activities for the facility. Ownership of Plant accounts, providing insight and analysis of drivers of performance Review all Month End Close accruals, journal entries, P&L reconciliations, COGS controlling. He will Ensure good control & compliance (financial aspects) environment at Brewery and to safe guard assets and inventories of the company.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accounts Payable:

- Ensure reports for Inventory Ageing, Vendor Ageing, GR-IR Status to stakeholders

- Sharing Freight MIS frequently to follow Logistic on Pending Bills

- Compliances, Annual Audit, Audit from third party - Providing information to enable smooth execution.

- Books finalization and book closing for their own plant as per the closing timelines agreed

Budgeting, Planning and Budgetary Controls:

- Ensure preparation of plant Annual Budget considering all aspects and needs of the Brewery and all functions in terms of Capex, BOM, Variable Costs, R&M and Other Controllable and non-controllable Fixed Costs.

- Preparation of quarterly Forecasts, considering plan revisions for the plant. Flagging of risks to avoid surprises at quarter/year end

Statutory Compliances and Audits:

- Ensure compliance on various accounting/ financial/ commercial matters, e.g. statutory, banks, taxation authorities, vendors, customers etc.

To ensure clean Audit - Statutory audit, Tax Audit and other Govt. Audits of the Brewery

- To comply with Delegation of Authority (DoA) and all published company policies having financial/ commercial implications

- Ensure implementation and monitoring of SOPs for various business operations keeping in view the Internal Controls

Preparation & Review of COGS (Cost of Goods sold) & COGS reduction:

- Stock keeping unit (SKU) wise review & reporting of Cost of goods sold (COGS)

- Improve Management Reporting with deep dive on each element of COGS and its comparison with Standard/Budget

- Wastage analysis for Raw Material & Packaging Material

- Material Losses: Monitoring of material losses at Process order level, expiry review and flag raising

- Ensure optimum income from Scrap generation and regular review to capture un trap areas of Scrap realization.

- Overheads: Identify areas of inefficiency, comparison of actual vs standard overheads

- Assist the Plant leadership team with development of KPI's for assessing functional performance and areas of opportunity for further cost reduction

- Conducting monthly reviews with Manufacturing teams to discuss various MIS, Scorecards, identifying issues and corresponding actions plans

- Develop data-driven, fact-based information to support decisions enabling productivity measures to reduce overall cost

Working Capital Management:

- Monitoring on Inventory - DIO for the plant including review of RM/PM, analyzing the same and ensuring actions agreed for inventory reductions are implemented

- Provisioning for Expiries - including Flagging of near expiry, slow/non-moving inventory

- Comparisons with ABP/Forecasts and identify reasons for variance; Aligning actions plans to address the gaps

- Duties reconciliation & payment of duty basis business requirement and analysis

- Review of advances and their ageing, clearing off advances

Capex Control:

- Assisting management in taking Capex decisions

- Tracking of Capital Work in progress and capitalization process on time.

Business Partnering: Ensuring the Finance team works along with the Manufacturing Team on all financial aspects Including and not limited to regular analysis of various platforms available

Building key business insights for the team to action on Strategic and tactical opportunities

QUALIFICATION AND SKILL SET:

Qualified CA/ICWA

- 3-5+ years' experience in a manufacturing set up (Alco Bev industry would be an added advantage)

- Working Knowledge of SAP or other ERP Systems

- Proficiency in all MS Office programs, with advanced skills in Excel.

- Strong attention to detail, superior analytical capability

- Accounting, Finalization, Month closure, Inventory management, ERP/SAP exposure etc.
