Biocon - General Manager - Biologics Program Management

Position: General Manager - Biologics Program Management (Non-Partnered Programs)

Reporting: Global Program Head

Role/Job Description:

- Program Head for non-partnered Biocon Programs including RoW and Current Development Programs.

- Achieve business targets set for the asset - inclusive of sales, licensing, milestone payments in licensing/co-development arrangements

- Ensure commercial supplies to customers as per the plan by working with various stakeholders.

- Prepare and publish integrate project plans in Microsoft projects and customized excel, which comes independently from project managers reporting into you

- Weekly review with project managers reporting into you.

- Fortnightly review with Project Leader (PL) from R&D, project managers and Global Program-Head to report the progress and performance of asset(s)

- Form Cross Functional core Team (CFT) and meet monthly to bring all stakeholders on the same page, resolve conflicts, determining priorities and identifying escalation points to Global Program Head and Chief Operating Officer.

- Lead preparation for internal management review forums like Monthly Business Review (MBR), Quarterly Business Review (QBR), Board presentations

- Prepare budget annually, track and manage the expenses on monthly/quarterly basis. Major focus on third party expense

- Lead rate negotiation with third party service providers and liaise with finance, Program Head and Head R&D

- Lead contract negotiation with third party service providers and liaise with legal, finance and Program Head

- Work with cross functional team members to constantly improve systems and process to remove redundancies and bottlenecks

- Work with peers in PMO office to continuously improve the project and program management function

Technical / Functional Skills :

- Total Experience - 12+ years

- Project management experience (at least 5+ years)

- Proficiency in Microsoft projects and project management tools (at least 2-3 years)

- PMP certified

- Basic knowledge in SAP

- Prior experience in R&D / RA (optional)

Behavioral / Management / Other Skills :

- Team player as it involves managing a big team involving senior leadership like Head R&D and COO

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Good articulation skills - Required in JDC, JSC and QBR meetings

- Willing to take larger responsibilities
