Big Data Consultant - BFSI

Position Related Experience

- Candidate should possess a Masters/ PHD degree in engineering, quantitative or scientific discipline

- Deep knowledge in computer algorithmics (Semantic Web, Social Networks Analysis, Data Mining, Knowledge management, clustering, artificial intelligence, etc.)

- Good programming skills (Python, R, Javascript, Java/C++, etc.)

- Good knowledge of Big Data tools and libraries: dataviz (Tableau, d3.js, iCharts, etc.), distributed file systems (eg. Hadoop, Redis, Riak, etc.), noSQL databases (e.g mango, couchDB, mango, etc.), I/O architecture (node.js, etc.)

- Proven experience in data mining or artificial intelligence.

- 3-6 years experience as a Big Data Scientist, ETL Developer, Analytics including Data Modeling, Testing and Documentation

- Experience in working in an international environment and professional experience in insurance is a plus

- Track record of delivering projects on time

Position Summary

- The resource would be a key member of the Actuarial Services team and would work in close collaboration with business/ research teams

- Candidate is expected to work on multiple big data analytics projects for insurance.

- The role may involve doing independent analysis as well as supporting senior consultants as per project requirements based in Client’s international locations

- Play a critical role in developing Big Data support platform

- Individual is expected to start as an individual contributor and work towards building and leading a team with Big Data specialization
