Job Description - Big data Architect

Experience : 

- 10-12+ years of experience with degree in Computer science or Mathematics and Statistics - Clearly communicate ideas, thought process, different alternatives for design and architecture (both Oral and written communication)

 - At least 4 years of Experience in  building and deploying large scale and complex data processing pipelines in a production environment. 

- Building real-time aggregations using Spark streaming, kafka, storm etc , working on different distributions systems like Horton, Cloudera etc. , NoSQL databases, columnar databases etc.,  programming and scripting (Java, Python, R, UNIX shell scripts) Plus/bonus

- Knowledge of software best practices, like Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration (CI) - Good to have experience in working on SaaS (Software as a service) product in cloud - Knowledge of software development methodologies including agile, TDD, CI/CD will be a plus

Role and responsibilities : 

- Demonstrate thought leadership through whitepapers, blogs, wiki, speaking opportunities and actively participating in technology forums 

- Research new technologies/trends and test and prove concepts/ evaluate tools through rapid prototyping - Proactively drive new approaches and techniques for the Big Data platform as well as propose improvements in software development practices 

- Participate in consultative projects/workshops , Define data architecture roadmaps for next generation Big Data Analytics solutions for our clients. Assess and define strategic opportunities to achieve new business capabilities using Big Data and/or traditional tools and technologies, Participate in vendor landscape and technology assessments 

 - Project/delivery support through architecture/ technical design guidance and review - Pre-sales support for new opportunities
