Bien Mode is Fashion Tech, eCommerce start-up where we are merging styling art with science & technology.

You will be an early stage start-up Founding Team member with creative freedom to design and develop processes in line with business idea and goals.

The prime objective of the role will be to setup e-commerce operations in Fashion and Apparels industry by getting into strategic partnerships with 3rd party vendors, etc.

Main roles involve setting up the operations of the company which include various tasks like Entering into Partnerships, Effective Content Sourcing, Brand and Large/Key Seller engagement, overseeing daily operations, team building, etc.

Job Description :

- Building operations structure and partnerships & executing the strategy in a scalable manner.

- Developing and maintaining Brand Relationships, Large/Key Seller engagement and Vendor Management aimed at driving superior Content on mApp and website.

- Create a pipeline of new innovative and exclusive products for continuous growth.

- Identify product trends using a mixture of qualitative and quantitative analysis.

- Merchandiser will select the lines, decides how much money should be spent, how many lines should be bought, and in what quantities.

- Negotiate product launches, pricing, timing, and exclusivity with vendors.

- Developing and maintaining vendor relationships in order to ensure the best prices, products and shipments.

- Focus on product sourcing, vendor relationships, and merchandising activities around driving profitable top line sales.

- Experience with cold calling and managing vendor relationships.

- Creation and execution of cross-channel merchandising/marketing plans, at the product level.

- Analyze selling and customers data to inform future purchases

- Perform market analysis, competitive shop and analyze historical sales trends to keep abreast of current trends. Obtain feedback from call center to improve product and add to collections.

- Analyze product sales, inventory levels and vendor product availability to make informed buying decisions that provide value to meet market demand.

- Forecast and/or react quickly to surges in product demand including various hot market opportunities.

- Quickly identify successful and/or profitable key item product categories and respond accordingly.

- Identify poor performing styles and provide liquidation and/or markdown strategy to increase velocity.

- Monitoring slow sellers and taking action to reduce prices or set promotions as necessary

- Negotiate product costs, terms and shipping/returns issues.

- Liaising with buyers, analysts, suppliers and distributors;

- Create effective partnerships with supply chain, logistics, vendors.

- Overseeing delivery and distribution of stock and deal with suppliers.

- Participate in recommending, setting and approving product pricing strategies to achieve specific margin objectives and recommend appropriate markdowns.

- Setting prices to maximize profits and manage the performance of ranges, planning promotions and markdowns as necessary.

- Monitor key competitors and marketplace regarding product selection and pricing.

- Meet with vendors on regular basis to review product lines and availability.

- Provide pre and post event analysis (buy quantities, sales, sell thru, etc.)

- Required to work closely with key stakeholders in the business.

- Ensuring that products appear on the website, at the appropriate time and in the correct quantities. This involves accurate forecasting trends, planning stock levels and monitoring performance.

- Analyzing the previous season's sales and reporting on the current season's lines

- Making financial presentations to senior managers

- Guarantee that the client is getting the best deal possible when contracting with a supplier.

- Track trends in consumer consumption to determine which products should be sold.

- Evaluate prior sales to establish future fulfillment needs

- Research suppliers and negotiate contracts for product fulfillment processing.

- Interact with wholesalers and clothing manufacturers to purchase lines of clothing, shoes and fashion accessories to be featured at retail stores.

Qualifications :

- Two to five years experience as a Buyer and / or merchandise planner in fashion, apparels, accessories, both men and women.

- You hold fast fashion experience

- You already have lead a cross functional team of planners, product developers and vendors.

- You are experienced in creating localized assortment strategies.

- You know how to build strong vendor relationships.

- You are adaptable as a startup that is things change at any given moment.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Strong Microsoft Office skills, primarily Excel.

- Capable of driving results and moving with speed to implement ideas in a fast-paced environment.

- Ability to travel up to 10% of time

- Bachelor's degree required, graduates from NIFT or similar fashion institutes will be preferred.
