Bid Manager - IT

Brief of role and responsibilities:

- Own the bid management process. Lead and manage preparation of bids and proposals, ensure consistent quality, uniformity and timely delivery

- Review bid requirements & determine key commercial & technical issues for compliance / non-compliance evaluation

- Manage the development of engineered technical offerings for proposals

- Engage with OEMs / partners - technically and commercially to bring out an effective and customized value proposition along with presales team

- Coordinate with Finance team and the various functional departments for bid pricing preparation based on established product work breakdown structure and pricing data in bid-pack format

- Lead the risk management process as per corporate guidelines

- Co-ordinate documentation requirements to ensure proposals are published on time to meet deadlines

- Participate in review of proposal deliverables ensuring the proposal package meets the structure & content requirements of Customer

- Report bid status and progress through monthly reports, bi-weekly group meetings/conference call checkpoints and other ad hoc communications

Must Have Skills/Knowledge:

- Should have experience of online bid submission for government bids

- High level of proficiency in MS excel, MS Word and basic knowledge of Project management tools (Microsoft tool)

- Should have worked on minimum 2-3 large size bids (Minimum INR 250 Cr/300 Cr) with end to end ownership for making technical and commercial proposals

- Should have thorough knowledge of Duties and Taxes including GST, logistics procedures, project Risk analysis, SLA and penalties

- Should have ability to operate in unstructured environments - startup businesses

- Experience in delivery of IT Projects/solutions is a must

Preferred Skills/Knowledge:

- Sound knowledge of SI industry and exposure to Solutioning and delivery

- Domain expertise in Safe and Smart City, Security and Surveillance and Biometric Solutions

- Established relationships and contacts at executive level will be an advantage
