- He/she would be an integral part of the M&A team and will independently lead & drive the various aspects of transactions working with members of the M&A teams as well as various other internal and external stakeholders
- This is a high-performance role which requires ability to work and deliver under pressure in a fluid work environment
Expected Key Results Activities
- Idea generation and Deal/Transaction Evaluation and Screening - Help originate, evaluate and present opportunities to executive management group and / or Board of Directors of Group companies or Corporate, as may be required.
- Assess strategic fit and financial / economic impact of opportunities
- Existing banking and advisory relationships would be a plus.
- Spearhead financial modelling and valuation analysis - Oversee financial modelling to evaluate the robustness of an opportunity
- Apply valuation methodologies/techniques and risk analysis as appropriate for any given company, business or sector
- Deal/Transaction Execution - Responsible for end to end deal / transaction management including due diligence, legal documentation, coordination with senior corporate / divisional management, and post-acquisition integration planning
- Commercial Terms in Transaction Documentation - Define/draft the commercial terms of Memoranda of Understanding (MoU), Letters of Intent, or Term Sheets
- Work with legal team in order to translate the above into a legal shareholder/share-purchase agreement
- Handover to Operating Companies - Brief operating teams on the transaction and hand-over crucial documents to them. Work with operating/secretarial/legal teams till the time the acquisition/JV stabilizes
- Evaluate success of acquisition or JV one (1) year post-transaction
- M&A Processes - Work on M&A process documentation and its update. Help create M&A knowledge pool at Corporate
- Skill Development - Train and guide various team members to incorporate best practices and processes and help develop the requisite skill set of the team members

Education Qualifications & Experience
- CA / MBA from leading education institutes
- 5 to 8 years of work experience covering M&A / strategic transactions / project management experience.
- Candidates with at least 3-5 experience from big 4 accounting firms, leading boutique IBs and professional advisory firms would be preferred
