BharatPe - Senior Role - Corporate Counsel

JOB SUMMARY:-

Requirements :

You'll be a great addition to the team if:

- Work experience of 6-8 years of PQE with a reputable law firm and/or in-house legal team (financial services sector)

- With special focus on banking and finance practice area. Preference will be given to candidates who have worked in the financial services sector/with a fintech company or advised fintech companies on financial products;

- Should have specific experience in advising borrowers/lenders on the debt/financing transactions and led the drafting and negotiation of financing documents (Debenture Trust Deed, Term Loan Agreement etc.). The role offers and requires flexibility to negotiate the deal on both sides i.e., lender and borrower;

- Expected to have good technical knowledge of fintech, NBFC and banking regulations;

- Actively collaborate with various teams at BharatPe, including the Debt, Product, Finance, marketing and sales on regulatory compliance and product development issues.

- Should be able to independently negotiate, draft, review and advice on a broad spectrum of commercial contracts

- Should also be open to work on equity/fund raising deals.

- Ability to take a commercial view on the matters while ensuring the risks are mitigated and the company's interest are protected.

- Advising on corporate law, legal and compliance issues and other regulatory requirements applicable to the Company.
