POSITION SUMMARY: Head Collections is responsible for overseeing the collection efforts of the company. He / She is also responsible for driving the operations team for achieving the required collection efficiency for the business. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Planning &amp; Review: - Drive strategic vision for Collection strategy and create objectives for the development and implementation of a strong collections and recoveries program. - Measure collection efficiency through client activation and management of NPAs - Review all agency audits, delinquency reports, trail gap report and corrective actions, cost of collection location wise, bounce MIS and trends Policy/ Procedure: - Provide direction, develop, and continuously ensure compliance and efficiency of Collections regulations, policies, and procedures. - Oversee adherence to rules and regulations of statutory/ regulatory authorities as well as liaising with concurrent, statutory, Insurance, RBI and internal auditors System/ Processes: - Coordinate between HO and field based on reviews and requests made by field team, mainly data / additions / clarifications - Implementation of the collections process, procedures, MIS &amp; reporting tools, review mechanism till the last mile collector for a uniform &amp; standardized process adherence - Oversee issuance of notices both digital &amp; print and ensure the same is populated on registered portals. - Ensure the systems and processes are optimized pertaining to VAR clearance, Auto Debit (arrears to clients- account), OTP enablement, Control Account Clearance Risk Containment &amp; Fraud Control Operations: - Support discovery, evaluation, and implementation of key Collection strategies and tool. - Propose and plan for operational audits in business units - Manage recoveries due to technical issue such as excess credit being granted to clients or money being disbursed without loan being approved. - Identify opportunities for improving business processes, based on audit outcomes, to minimize risks - Identify potential financial loss, key risks, and control indicators - Identify under-performing territories/regions and formulate specific strategies to improve collections in that region. Experience &amp; Skills: - 14+ years. With primary collection domain experience in MFIs, NBFCs or Banks. - Must have managed Asset portfolio (Unsecured / Secured) with Scale
