Bewakoof is a dynamic and rapidly growing e-commerce platform that specializes in delivering fashion-forward clothing and lifestyle products directly to consumers. We are seeking a D2C Business Head in the e-commerce sector to lead and drive our operations team, ensuring efficiency and excellence in all facets of our D2C operations. Bewakoof Brands has now become a step-down subsidiary of the company, with effect from February 15, 2023, as Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail D2C wing.

Position Overview:

- The responsibilities of a Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) Business Head in the e-commerce sector typically involve overseeing the strategic direction and operations of the D2C business segment. This includes developing and executing plans to drive sales, manage the P&L (Profit and Loss), establish strong customer relationships, lead cross-functional teams, identify market trends, and implement innovative strategies to enhance the brand's presence and profitability in the direct-to-consumer space.

- This role will have ownership to drive the complete engine to enable outcomes for both Topline and Bottom line alongside the business heads.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic Vision: Develop and execute strategies aligned with the D2C business goals. Driving growth as a D2C Business Head entails devising and executing strategies that expand D2C sales , enhance customer acquisition and retention, and capitalize on market opportunities. This involves innovative approaches, strategic partnerships, and continuous optimization to achieve sustainable and scalable growth in the e-commerce domain.

- Sales Growth: Drive initiatives to increase sales through direct consumer channel. Driving growth as a D2C Business Head entails devising and executing strategies that expand sales channels, enhance customer acquisition and retention, and capitalize on market opportunities. This involves innovative approaches, strategic partnerships, and continuous optimization to achieve sustainable and scalable growth in the e-commerce domain.


- Product and Marketing Oversight: Lead product development and create targeted marketing strategies for direct consumer engagement.


- Team Leadership: Manage cross-functional teams, providing guidance and direction.

- Partnership Management: Foster and maintain strong partnerships with relevant stakeholders.

- Market Analysis: Analyze market trends and consumer behavior to capitalize on opportunities. Market analysis for a D2C Business Head involves comprehensive research on consumer behavior, trends, and competitors. They leverage this data to guide product development, refine marketing strategies, and stay ahead in the dynamic e-commerce landscape.

- Financial Management: Ensure profitability by managing budgets and overseeing the P&L. P&L (Profit and Loss) goals are pivotal for a D2C Business Head in the e-commerce industry. These objectives revolve around managing the financial health of the direct-to-consumer segment. This includes setting revenue targets, optimizing costs, and ensuring profitability.


- Key responsibilities involve creating and overseeing budgets, analyzing financial reports to identify areas for improvement, implementing strategies to increase revenue streams and decrease expenses where feasible, and ultimately driving the D2C segment towards meeting or exceeding its financial goals. Additionally, they need to constantly monitor and adapt strategies based on financial performance to maintain a healthy and sustainable P&L structure for the business unit.

- Innovation: Continuously innovate to stay ahead in the competitive D2C landscape.

- Category Management: Manages various product categories and is responsible for the growth of the same as per the predetermined plan. The role holder is involved in setting targets, monitoring performance metrics, and making data-driven decisions to drive growth and profitability within specific product categories.

- Inventory Review & Management: This role involves using various software and systems to track inventory, forecast demand, and minimise stock outs or overstock situations. Conducting audits, optimising inventory turnover, and collaborating with other departments to streamline operations and meet customer demand effectively in the expectation from this role.

Qualifications:

- Tier 1 college graduate in either bachelors degree or masters degree

- 10+ years of relevant experience

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in an e-commerce start-up

- Proven track record of leadership

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and entrepreneurial environment.

- Should be proficient in managing P&L

Competencies:

- Strong leadership skills to drive the people towards the company goals in a cross functional team environment.

- Deep understanding of consumer behavior and market trends

- Ability to take strategic decisions based on data analytics and market study.

- Proficiency in implementing effective marketing strategies with support of the marketing team.

- Excellent communication skills to foster strong relationships with stakeholders and customer interfaces

- Proficient in managing P&L and ability to manage both budgets and profitability.

- Agile to change strategy to adopt and grow as per the ever changing e-commerce landscape.

Must have:

- Channel growth

- Category management

- P&L responsibility

- Own inventory
