Position Overview:

BDO India is recruiting a skilled and solutions-oriented Brand Strategist with a strong analytical mind to craft compelling brand stories and strategies that deliver results. The candidate should possess significant experience in developing effective brand strategies and conducting industry and competitor research that would facilitate developing or expanding the Firm's brands/ services amongst respective stakeholders - existing/ potential customers and talent, vendors and communities.

As part of this role, the candidate will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of the brand - formulating exclusive and creative strategies for multiple brands, developing unique brand positioning, improving brand visibility, implementing consistent brand voice and messaging, conducting extensive market research and analysing findings, rebranding existing products or services and making recommendations.

The candidate would be expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead brand campaigns, and contribute to each brand's overall growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

As a strategic thinker with a knack for uncovering research and market insights that facilitate strategy development, the candidate would be responsible for:

Brand Strategy: Develop, define/refine, and communicate the brand's positioning, our differentiation story, messaging, and value proposition. Drive the evolution of the brand strategy to align with the global organisation's outlook, changing market trends and business objectives.

Campaign Management: Lead the planning, development, and execution of multi-channel brand campaigns that effectively communicate the brand's story and resonate with the target audience. Monitor campaign performance and adjust strategies as needed to maximise impact.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the leadership to establish brand guidelines, metrics, and standards and collaborate closely with internal teams including Digital, Design, Event, Content & PR, CRM and Business Development to ensure consistent brand messaging and alignment across all touchpoints.

Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify multiple stakeholder insights, competitive landscape, and emerging trends. Analytical ability to study, identify and understand the Firm's strengths and weaknesses.

Brand Guidelines: Define and implement brand guidelines that outline visual and messaging standards to ensure consistent representation of the brand across all communication channels.

Team Leadership: Foster a collaborative, innovative environment that encourages creativity and excellence.

Brand Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyse brand performance on defined metrics. Conduct brand audits to assess the brand's status in the market and ways to strengthen it. Generate regular reports and insights to guide strategic decisions and optimisations.

Innovation: Identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation within the market. Propose and execute initiatives that elevate the brand's presence and resonate with evolving market trends.

Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate brand strategies and initiatives to internal stakeholders, executives, and partners. Build strong relationships and maintain a unified brand vision.

Requirements and skills:

- Masters in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field. Certification as a Brand strategist from a reputed institute would be a plus.

- Experience in strategic brand development and management or related roles with progressively increasing responsibilities.

- Proven track record of developing and executing successful brand strategies and campaigns.

- Prior experience in working with professional services companies will be advantageous.

- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to make informed decisions. Ability to gather feedback from clients, business development, and market/ industry trends to define our positioning.

- Excellent understanding of the full marketing mix

- Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and design aesthetics.

- Proficiency in marketing tools, analytics platforms, and MS Office Suite.

- Familiarity with digital marketing trends and social media platforms.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
