Manager- Sales & Accounts ( Business Development)

About the Background of the Client:

A leading innovative trading technology firm, The products developed are used by exchange businesses around the world.

These products cater to trading multiple asset classes including equities, derivatives, debt, commodities, Forex, structured products and exchange-traded funds.

The systems integrator business is a leading information technology solutions provider, specializing in IT solutions for the financial and telecom industries. Founded in 1996, and headquartered in Colombo, Sri Lanka, was acquired by the international diversified exchange business London Stock Exchange Group in October 2009.

Role:

- As the Manager - Sales and Account, reporting to the Vice President - Strategic Relations, you would be required to manage and develop strategic relationships with key clients in order to achieve sales and assigned strategic account objectives.

- In addition, would also be accountable for following tasks.

Responsibilities:

- Effective management of existing strategic account portfolios

- Business development through the existing accounts

- Generate new accounts / clients using network of industry contacts

- Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned strategic accounts

- Coordinate the involvement of internal personnel, i.e. Colombo Technical Team, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations

- Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts

- Involvement in Strategic account planning process that develops performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones.

- Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis & keep the technical teams updated.

- Lead solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of product & solutions teams in Colombo.

- People management building forming and developing teams in longer terms

- Recruit , train , develop and manage a team of capital market professionals when business requires.

Requirements:

- Qualifications Bachelors Degree in computer science & MBA / MSc from a recognized institute

- Professional Qualification / Post Graduate Qualification in Marketing or Sales

- Finance / Accountancy & Project Management Qualifications would be an added advantage

- Capital Markets / Financial markets industry experience / exposure is a must

- Experience of managing accounts and relationships for multiple clients

- Experience in working in a multinational / multi generational team

- Competencies Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English

- Strong presentation and negotiation skills

- Good organizational and time management skills
