We are currently looking for BD Manager for one of our client which is a US based Building Material company specialized into Bathroom & Kitchen products. Below is the position description:

POSITION DESCRIPTION - Business Development Manager

BASIC FUNCTION

- Responsible for ensuring that Company gets specified by the influencers for a project viz. architects, interior designers, and plumbing contractors.

- This will be achieved by regularly meeting the influencers and briefing them about the company and the products and convincing them of quality and how company would fit their requirements the best.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

- Establish personal contact, and maintain relationship with architects and interior designers in the given territory.

- Establish and maintain regular contact with architects, plumbing contractors, key national, architects, interior designers and developers to inform them of the advantages of using Company plumbing products and to motivate them toward specifying plumbing products, from Company’s corporate product portfolio, for their end customers.

- Develop a broad database for the territory for all influencers viz .architects, interior designers and plumbing contractors.

- Provide guidance, review Company practices and procedures, develop sales programs with Company sales team, distributors’ management team, their sub-distributors and their key buyers.

- Provide the sales team with information and progress on key projects and take their inputs in arriving at the best way to ensure that Company gets specified.

- Maintain Company India’s influence on the key influencers by tracking competitor activities wrt the influencer group and providing this information to the Regional Sales Manager.

- Conduct Architect Meets with the help of the Regional Sales Manager – which helps in building the relationship with Company.

- Attend and participate in Company sales meeting and trade or industry meetings, shows and conventions to increase knowledge of Company Co.’s plumbing products, improve selling techniques and cultivate good working relationships with distributors and product users.

- Perform any assignments given by the company.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education required:

- Requires a MBA – Marketing would be an advantage. Must be bi-lingual in both English and Hindi/Local languages. Fluency in regional dialects would be an added advantage.

Experience required:

- 2-4 years business development experience.

Knowledge / Skill required

- Pleasing personality

- Strong communication skill

- Good interpersonal and presentation skills

- Mature, self driven and result oriented

- Must be willing to travel regularly throughout the assigned region

RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS

Supervisory Relationships:

- Reports to: Regional Sales Manager

Organizations Relationships:

Frequent contacts with:

- Area Sales Managers, Regional Sales Manager and Regional Manager – Key Accounts.

- External Business Relationships:

- Has frequent contact with plumbing contractors, general contractors, builders, architects and interior designers and key end-users.
