About the Department Times Group IT department is responsible for designing, maintaining, and supporting the organisations information technology infrastructure, major divisions under TGIT : - End User Support & Customer Experience - Solutions Delivery &amp; DevOps - Central Ops &amp; Service Assurance - Enterprise Architecture &amp; Biz-Apps - Governance &amp; Program Management - Information Security General Accountability - Keep knowledge and skills up to date to meet the organization expectation from self. - Provide direction at the architectural level for IT systems and solutions that would fit into the jigsaw of the Enterprise seamlessly in a resilient, efficient and scalable pattern. - Build and maintain the Enterprise Architecture Blueprint based on the EA guidelines. - Play the strategic, technical and regulatory role in being corporate partner for business impacting projects under New Projects strategic initiative like Datalike, SSO, Digital Archival, Content Management system, Marketing Analytics etc. and operations like: Salesforce CRM (Sales/Marketing Department and Circulation and Distribution Department), Editorial productivity systems (ML, AI, BoTs, dashboards), EWF system (CCI + +), SWF (PPI ++), Intranet, HRMS, strategic technology consulting (MSO, NOC, SOC), Data Architecture, Business Intelligence, RPA, SAP HANA etc. - Consult with CIO for strategic directions on business alignment of technology. - Be in regular touch and synch with the business, along with Business Applications team, by taking regular requirements and making observation to identify the technology, IT systems and processes that can inject revenue streams in overall business plan, guide business vision and enhance productivity transforming from enabler to driver function. - Assist in evaluation and selection of right technology and IT systems for business. - Providing inputs based on experience for projects like Disaster Recovery sites, Data Centers, Customer interface systems etc. - Keep in touch with group companies leaders to drive synergy for the group as a common thinking across the group companies. - Be an active contributor for visibility of organization at various forums as technology leaders print media, platforms and associations. Nature and Scope of Job Business Environment The role of the function is to develop and maintain the architecture blueprint for Times Group IT systems and also chart the roadmap for the same, so that all the arms of Times Group get into consolidated homogeneous platforms for better systems governance, cost structure regulation and reduction and better services for business. The position is also responsible for ironing out the Architectural holes in the business solution being proposed and implemented by various solution providers by conducting Architectural Review Board Meetings. Incumbent is also expected to maintain relation with vendors to provide insight into the new technology available at global level and assist in unbiased evaluation of technology and IT projects being envisaged for roll out by organization at group level. The thrust areas for the position are: - Enterprise Architecture Guidelines and Blueprint - Company's new projects / digital initiatives and development - CRM (Salesforce) solution/operations for all the businesses of group - Strategic Technology Consulting - Elements of 4th Industry Revolution AI, ML/DL, RPA, BoTs, Cognitive etc. - Web Strategy - Data Centers - Middleware strategy - Architecture inputs for budgeting purpose - Getting regular inputs from business to continuously align technology and IT objectives for the group. Key Responsibility Areas - Maintain close mapping with directions from senior management to align the technology objectives with business goals - Develop, maintain and govern Architecture blueprint for Times Group IT Systems including the Roadmap - Run ARB (Architecture Review Board) - Assist and guide evaluation of right technology and IT systems for the group - Provide best practices inputs for internal systems and infrastructure projects. - Relationship with vendors during project initiation and to keep abreast with best technology available that may be incorporated for business enhancement - Keep knowledge and skills up to date to meet the organization expectation from self.
