Team Lead - Logistics  Your Roles And Responsibilities:  - Negotiate, enter, and maintain rates and service agreements with warehousing and transportation 3PL service providers.  - Ensure warehousing and transportation contracts are complete including regulatory, safety, and insurance compliance.  - Maintain freight rates in TM3 system, and agreements in Legal Contract Management System.  - Resolve transportation & warehousing issues and make process improvements to prevent re occurrence and improve the supply chain.  - Communicate and coordinate with CS, BU- s, Plants, and 3PLs to ensure all warehousing and transportation requirements are met.  - Implement customized logistics projects for BU's.  - Work with plants and warehouses for shipment aggregation, weight optimization, in search of ways to improve operational and performance metrics.  - Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies.  - Provide information, recommendation, and coordination for logistics cost reduction opportunities.  - Coordinate with TDS, HSEQ to conduct pre vendor qualification.  - Conduct on-going technical safety training / audits for all logistics service providers.  - Collaborate with BU's in developing cost effective logistics strategies for proposals.  Who You Are :  - Bachelor's Degree (preferably Science Graduate) with 5-7 years of prior experience in the Transportation/ Logistics procurement.  - MBA in Operations /Supply Chain - Preferred  - Good customer relations ability with analytical and technical skills.  - Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.  - Ability to work individually upon understanding the SCC strategy.  The role is for the Material Science business of Bayer.
