What will you be doing? In depth data analysis. Data processing, design, and should present it in ways to help people, businesses, and organization make better decisions. - Own the data quality and bring technical expertise to ensure the quality and accuracy of data. - Strong Knowledge on the data produced during modern developments techniques, Continuous Integration, Code Quality, Security Scanning etc. Experience in managing large-scale databases. - Managing and designing the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata. - Develop data models and insights and communicate data requirements to software development team - Developing a high impact Metrics platform / product used across all business units in Barclays. - Own the roadmap that drives what we need to engineer for the future. Shape the data insights requirements on behalf of your stakeholders - Create/lead an insight community with TC Leads and data analysts from across the business to prioritise analysis, agree actions and measure effectiveness of those actions - Define and own the architectural/infrastructure roadmap for DS Data architecture - Demonstrate passion for and deep knowledge of data visualisation as an experienced practitioner - Design and implement next iteration of our DS Insights data platform - Ensure a successful day-to-day operation of the data environments. - Ensure that the data design is consistent with our wider target architecture, our Data Strategy, and our Technology Strategy What were looking for: - Bachelors degree in a Computer Science, Mathematics or Scientific discipline - Relevant Years experience of data analysis and modelling, data management, information systems and related software (e.g. SQL Server, Python or any other programming language) - Hands-on experience with many of these capabilities: Programming language (Python or other OO programming language), database systems (e.g. rdbms, nosql, postgres, mariaDB), data lineage analysis, data flow diagrams, data interface design data integration patterns & data migration - Hands-on self-starter with the combination of analytic and communications skills to work out what needs doing and then act upon it - Have a passion for data and value it can deliver for a global organisation Skills that will help you in the role: - Experience of Retail Banking, Investment Banking/ Capital Markets, Risk &amp; Treasury Functions, Fraud - Hands on experience with data quality, metadata management, records lifecycle management and data governance - Strong understanding on CICD principles and how these can be supported through cloud - Experience with data science products
