Job Location - Chennai The overall purpose of the role The candidate will responsible for facilitating the change of systems as part of the Strategic Implementation Plan (SIP) impacting the Finance control (FC) function. The candidate will be using their project management, line experience, analysis, and leadership skills and experience to ensure the team executes the SIP Change Management strategy defined by the project team in a timely and efficient manner. Key Accountabilities Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to the following: 1) Working with line FC teams to determine the business requirements. This must involve a thorough consideration of all implications of these requirements to the business, including the identification of any potential issues or functional omissions 2) Assisting with documenting the analysis carried out, (this may include for example gap analysis, the production of process flows, use cases and scenarios). 3) Explain all process flows to relevant stakeholders. 4) Identifying analysis and management of issues/risks on a timely basis and escalate as appropriate 5) Being the translator between the line team and IT/PMO, providing expertise when required. 6) Preparation and execution of all activities within the plan, including user procedures and training packs, ensuring proper implementation of the project and benefits are realized. 7) Managing stakeholder engagement and governance activities ensuring all project controls are in place. 8) As in all roles, a high degree of flexibility is required. Stakeholder Management and Leadership - Provide leadership to the process managers with oversight for issue resolution. - Create an environment that promotes continuous improvement and high levels of employee engagement. - Embed a culture of regular reviews and effective performance management. - Leverage and integrate the capabilities of resources across all levels of the organization to accomplish complex objectives. Detail should be provided as to the type and complexity of problems and the impact the role has on developing or enhancing existing systems or processes Experience : - Experience in month end closure including Balance sheet control and IFRS reporting - Ability to manage and lead a team and interact with senior staff across multiple jurisdictions in multiple functions Preferred : Essential: - Strong control mindset - Strong stakeholder engagement skills and understanding their requirements for effective execution - Ability to lead teams and motivate staff - Enthusiastic, motivated, self-starter, proactive and a team player. - Strong interpersonal skills and an excellent communicator. - A desire to provide top quality service to internal stakeholders from different areas of the firm /geographies - Willingness and ability to take ownership of issues and manage through to a successful resolution. - Eye for detail and exceptional track record in managing and resolving conflict situations - Ability to negotiate and influence senior management across the businesses - Ability to build strong partnerships across the business with excellent stakeholder management - Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think outside the box. - Strong knowledge of financial statement disclosure
