Barclays - Vice President - Credit Operations

What will you be doing?

- The role holder will be expected to build strong relationships with key senior stakeholders across the product, distribution, infrastructure and Front Office teams, driving engagement and looking for opportunities to further optimise the delivery of credit to client.

- They own and understand the economic importance and commercial impact of all Wealth Services, activities and actions and they will drive value in everything they do.

- The Head of Credit Operations is responsible for ensuring a strategic and proactive approach to improving processes within their transaction cycle, by leveraging the wider Wealth Operations teams and other lending teams across the Bank. This is particularly focused on the evolving Target Operating Model (TOM) and they will be responsible for the effective design and implementation of new relationships, systems, procedures through a rigorous and professional project management regime.

- They will work with Business Engagement Teams to ensure the Front office business goals and product growth is fully supported and aligned to the overall TOM and continuously drive operational efficiencies to improve our cost to serve.

What we are looking for:

- Post graduate degree in Finance, Banking, Investments or related fields. CA, MBA, M.Com or equivalent.

- Deep functional knowledge of complex credit products, services, workflows, policies, and operational processes

- Excellent communication, stakeholder and people management skills

- Problem solving, innovation, familiarity and comfort with technology and latest credit platforms

Skills that will help you in the role:

- Prior experience working for a similar MNC bank in a credit function either front office or operations

- Prior experience managing large teams, and operational delivery responsibility including risk and regulatory reporting

- Process excellence, process re-engineering, Lean or Six Sigma knowledge and proven track record of delivering efficiency and automation
