About IBMO Operations Risk and Control

The IBMO Operations Risk and Control team and are responsible for the implementation of Global Risk policies and Procedures, monitoring execution against these policies and procedures and providing independent verification that standards are being followed. The team utilises Management Information, face to face meetings and independent testing.

The role holder will be responsible for providing risk and control oversight in respect of operational and related processes performed within the India Operations Shared Service Centre.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Review and Verification of Management Information

Escalation and Remediation Oversight of Issues

Undertaking independent reviews to verify polices and procedures are being followed

Business Change Agenda (including mandatory and regulatory programmes

Audit Management

Process and Control Assurance

Risk and Control Objective: Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Barclays Operational Risk Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Standards.

Requirements for Assistant Vice President - Operations Risk and Control:

Experience in risk and control with experience of implementing risk and control techniques e.g. risk identification, risk assessment, risk mitigation, and risk management ideally gained via working knowledge of Operations or Operational Risk Control/Management. Experience of Wealth Management, Investment Banking, Asset Management, or broader Financial Services environments

Experience of working with senior management in global locations and working as part of a global team

Experience of leading a team within a high volume environment is essential.

Proven leadership experience and a strong track record in risk and control with experience of implementing risk and control techniques

Change and action-orientated with a focus on continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility
