Job Description :   Industry: Banking / Financial Services / Web-Aggregator/ Mutual Fund Distributor  Functional Area: Financial Services, Banking, Investments, Insurance  Reporting to: Senior Manager Legal  Key Skills: Vetting, Legal Advice, Agreements, Risk Identification, Litigation  Experience: 4-5 years in Law firm, Litigation practice, Financial Services, Contracts, Banking, Investments and Insurance Law.  Education: University Degree in law or other relevant subject matter related to finance, business and trade law etc.  Location: Bangalore  PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:  Business :  - Negotiation of contracts with the external clients in legal perspective for its closure and help the business in execution of the same.  - Ensure provision of legal advice in framing/ review of policies and on all documents, contracts and agreements relating to the business operations to protect the organization against any legal exposure and minimize liability.  - Scan the regulatory environment, Identify, interpret and analyze existing & new legislations/amendments & notifications that impact; bring to the notice of the appropriate functions about their implications and applicability;   - Advise and assist Legal on both ongoing legal risks and anticipate on new legal risks, arising by virtue of new laws or regulations.   - Litigation support- drafting of notices, plaint, written statement, coordination with external advocates.  Internal process :   - Adhere to timelines in reviewing and vetting all official communications & documentations such as contracts, agreements and settlements.  - Monitor the timelines of response to legal notices/ drafting and vetting of legal notices on behalf of the company, submission of response/comments to government authorities, ensure timely escalation.  - Manage database/MIS of all the contracts; follow up with concerned business/KAM heads for closure; provide advice in course corrections; escalate when required.  Learning & Performance :   - Maintain a database on Applicable laws comprising FAQs, dos & don- ts as a ready reference.  - Keeping a track on the latest laws and Banking, Mutual Fund, Insurance related Acts and proactively advise the management and business about such amendments and its implication on business and to suggest changes in process/procedure in line with the amendments through circulars/guidelines.
