Retail Category Manager (Buying Role) - FMCG, Staples and General Merchandise
- Banas Dairy is the largest unit under the Brand AMUL. We have the largest Dairy Plant in Asia with peak milk procurement approaching 100 million litres / day. We have operations in 6 states across
- India and are actively working and expanding operations in allied areas of Agriculture / Retail / Healthcare / Education and Environment.
- To serve the people in our geography through a network of Retail Supermarts, we need young dynamic entrepreneurial professionals to be part of the Core Team to set up the business for Sales, Business Intelligence, Marketing processes and lead the Buying and Sales operations for the Category.
1) Growth champion - You will drive growth of relevant categories, keeping in mind the consumer and the competition. You will drive customer engagement, conversion and retention
2) Goal oriented: You will own the P&L (profit and loss) statement for the relevant categories in alignment with business goals
3) Target achiever: As a category manager you will be responsible for driving the top line, bottom revenue targets as well as gross margins.
4) Planner: You will be responsible for assortment planning, option planning pre-season and in- season to ensure a thorough representation of your category. You will contribute to the overall Sales Planning - Monthly, Quarterly Annual and Strategy using data driven decision making.
5) Trend spotter: You should be able to identify broader trends and fill in category gaps based on marketing research and data analytics; Keep a sharp track of consumer preferences, markets and competitors
6) Multi - tasker: You should be able to coordinate with marketing, supply chain, cataloguing, finance, commercial and other functions of the organization.
7) Operations genie: Negotiate prices with vendors, sellers and brands; Plan and execute the daily / monthly pricing strategy; Mentor/supervise merchandising operations - including the management of cataloguing, content creation and discount monitoring.
8) Marketing genius: You should be able to drive visibility plans, promotion plans, and coordinate between the internal marketing teams and that of sellers, based on market potential, consumer behaviour and insights, and margins
9) Proficient Partner: Build tie-ups with manufacturers, suppliers and brands; Knowledge and relations with local / regional manufacturers and brands;
10) Detailed Reporting - Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and process improvements
