Job Description

You are expected to work on various stages of indirect Taxation. You may be asked to lead smaller, non-complex engagements. Typical responsibilities may include:

- Goods and Services tax - impact analysis and transition assistance.

- Advising clients on indirect tax implications on their business: present and proposed models and suggest alternative tax efficient models

- Review contracts of the clients with various parties and advise on the indirect tax implications viz. service tax, VAT, excise and customs.

- Conduct health checks covering verifying compliance and adherence to applicable Indirect tax legislations, classification, taxability, CENVAT credit optimization etc.

- Prepare responses to Show Cause Notices, draft appeals before appellate authorities, prepared written submissions before authorities, caused appearance before lower adjudicating authority and appellate authorities
