Bajaj Electricals - Manufacturing Process Engineering Manager - Quality Assurance

Salary offered: 12 - 15 LPA

Job purpose & Scope

- To Design, Develop & Implement efficient & Sustained Manufacturing processes for Bajaj products to ensure Built-in Quality.

- Improve existing processes to ensure Zero Defect Products.

Major Areas of Responsibilities

Understand Design specification of Products and market inputs.

- Articulate Critical Product Characteristics (CPC). Link CPCs with Critical Process Parameters (CPP- s). Identify Potential risks and define actions to overcome risks.

- Identify Potential risks and define actions to overcome risks.

- Design, Develop, implement Defect free Manufacturing process flow.

- Develop working instructions, workmanship standards and process documents and ensure these are complied with

- Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify Gaps with continual improvement actions to enhance Quality.

- Laison with product Design & Development, Supply chain & Vendor Quality for ensuring the released products have adequate BOM and routings.

- Develop manufacturing documentation required for product manufacturing i.e. revise drawing, BOM, Process Check sheets, Control Plans, etc.

- Validation of Processes and set Control parameters over KPIVs and KPOVs.

- Perform MSA studies over Measuring/testing instruments.

- Conduct Process Capability Studies and control process through SPC charts, especially for critical Parameters.

- Identify ways to reduce wastages through recommendations - i.e. new process equipment, equipment justification to improve performance

- Work with design engineering on DFX (design for excellence) to include:

a) Design for cost

b) Design for test

c) Design for manufacturability

d) Design for assembly

- Develop & Lead team of Process Engineers

- Train and supervise staff on new development processes and technology

- Establish a training and quality culture
