Major Areas of Responsibilities
The communications manager job is a mid-level, management role for someone with at least 7-10 years of experience in the field. Communications managers create, implement and oversee communications programs, be it internal or external, that effectively describe and promote the organization and its products.
Communications managers perform a variety of tasks, such as the creation and development of print and online advertising, email marketing, web site management and content development, press releases, bylined articles, white papers, corporate videos and marketing collateral, RFP review and development, marketing budget development and cost tracking. They may aid in the preparation of presentations and/or speeches geared toward employees
Job Responsibility:
Strategic:
- Work closely with Head of Department & Various business verticals / assigned business vertical to craft annual marketing communication plan
- Coordinate with Mainline / Digital / Media / BTL partners to plan an appropriate communication solution, effective to the brand / corporate strategy
- Corporate Communication / PR / Financial results coverage / Coordinate with senior management during results and ensure correct numbers are published
- Recommend Brand and Communications research for deeper consumer understanding and effective positioning
Operational :
- Understand category, market and competitive analysis on a regular basis
- Direct / Guide marketing into effective creatives and communication for brand
- Supervise Coordination of activities internally as well as with vendors
- Meet up with media for regular program updates and brand possibilities
Key Skills:
- Must be a confident communicator and presenter
- Media Planning & Buying Experience
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including ability to present concepts verbally
- Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills
- Superior project management and time management skills
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude
- Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media
- Self motivated with a positive and professional approach to management
