JOB PURPOSE

This role acts an interface between Business/Operations/IT and Technology vendors to drive the resolutions on new products/Existing products, defects and change request or new functionality, help business/Operations implement technology solutions in a cost-effective way by determining the requirements of a project or program, and communicating them clearly to stakeholders, facilitators and partners: Business case, CBA, requirement gathering, assistance in UAT, implementation, Project Management.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Collaborate with the IT team and Stakeholders to arrive at the Missing functionalities roadmap by taking into account strategic growth plans and the overall Business and technology.

- Plan and budget resources based on current- and future-state business processes and requirements

- Assists Head PVT in managing expectations and aspirations of various businesses to ensure efficient, relevant and timely solutions

- Set and define processes, and standards for level of service and delivery expected from the team for successful execution of IT projects

- Monitor and review internal processes for project management and execution periodically, and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency

- Keep abreast with the technology strategy of competitors, the latest developments in sector

- Creating a process oriented culture by standardizing processes and documenting the same by way of standard operating procedures

- Anticipate business requirements of stakeholders to ensure efficiency and scalability of the fast-growing business

- Ensure Team members collaborate with business teams to gather and articulate the requirements and evaluation parameters for solution rollout

- Carry out impact analysis to identify what specific processes will be targeted and changed, and ascertain the impact of the same

- Oversee documentation and validation of functional specifications defined on the basis of business needs

- Oversee the creation of relevant use cases that test the functionality of IT solutions from an end user and business perspective

- Oversee roll-out of regular UATs (User Acceptance Tests) to check functionality and resolution of bugs identified

- Review the new solution and give final sign off to the project team, vendor and application management team

- Ensure trainings and hand-holding of system users in the operations environment to develop ease of using the new system

- Ensure feedback from end users is reviewed and incorporated into the course corrections made to the system

- Governance to be followed with Testing Mgmt team

- Collaborate with business heads to understand the 'forward looking' trends and strategy for their respective businesses, their products, operations and processes

- Collaborate with IT to identify the process as well as criteria to hand-over and transition projects into operations

- Regular Governance meeting - updates on projects

- Regular update to Sr Mgmt on projects

- Attract and retain high quality talent for ensuring high standards of service and delivery

- Set and review performance metrics, standards and cascade operational goals to drive alignment and achievement of team objectives

- Build a team of technologically strong subject matter experts through ongoing training and development

- Encourage and motivate people in their routine work

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Educational Qualifications

a) Qualifications

- Graduation / Post-graduation

- MBA preferred

b) Work Experience

- 10-12 years of experience, with exposure to BFSI

- Excellent knowledge of Life Insurance Domain/Products

c) Other Soft Skills:

- Good Communication & Documentation Skills

- Process Oriented

- Stakeholder Management & Problem Solving Skills

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

- Strong customer service skills with excellent relationship management skills with the ability to interact positively and successfully with all level of associates and managers to meet business needs

- Basic understanding of technology system interfaces and data integration, networks, and operating systems

- Knowledge of Business Process Modeling using decision tables/trees and data flows, etc

- Microsoft PC software experience (i.e., Excel, Word, Access and Project)

- Experience in project management and/or client/block conversions

- Must be a self-starter, flexible and motivated

- Analytical, organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Willingness to develop industry-related knowledge

- Proven application of analytical skills and solution focused mindset

- Familiarity with project management methods (SDLC, PMI, ITIL, Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
