Azure Power - GM - Supply Chain Management

Job Description :

1. Develop a procurement strategy for all bulk materials for the organization and support achievement of business objectives.

2. Develop long term and short term plans for strategic sourcing function. Policy and Process Design, Implementation and Review.

3. Drive sourcing process excellence including high efficiency in transactions, reduced procurement lead times, strategic sourcing and efficient material management.

4. Participate actively in technology selection of grid connected and off-grid Solar Power Plants.

5. Implementation regarding vendor selection process to create pre-qualified vendors for equipment and services relating to construction of Solar Power Plants. This shall require both domestic and international travel.

6. Implementation of contract management system

7. Negotiation of contracts.

8. Implementation of streamlined logistics.

9. Building relationships with nodal agencies like :

a. Customs

b. Ministry of Renewable Energy etc. for management of concessions and incentives pertaining to Solar Power Generation.

10. Drive down equipment delivery times for faster implementation of projects.

11. Implementation of effective inventory management system at project sites.

Person Specification :

1. Must have experience working with Custom Authorities in India.

2. Must have direct experience with procurement of 100+ crores of equipment and services for Solar Power Plant projects

3. Must have direct experience in implementation and / or use of contract management system like SAP

4. Must have excellent communication skills.

5. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure.

6. Excellent man-management and time management skills
