About You (key responsibilities)
These may include but are not limited to :
- You are the technical expert who best understands, articulates and evangelizes Azul's solutions.
- Your presentations are crisp, informative and use powerful storytelling to convey value.
- You own the entire technical sales process, working in tandem with your sales partners to identify, qualify and scope new and upsell opportunities.
- You are responsible for the successful execution of pilots.
- You constantly build and maintain strong relationships with customer champions and key stakeholders.
- You collaborate with peers throughout Azul to learn, contribute and share best practices.
What You Bring (experience and qualifications) :
- 10+ years overall experience.
- 5+ years experience as a sales engineer
- Experience in technical support, development or DevOps, required
- Working knowledge of Java, preferred
- Exposure to some or all of the following technologies, preferred: Kafka, Cassandra, Solr, Hadoop, Spark, Docker, Kubernetes, Elastic, AWS, GCP, Azure, SpringBoot
- Experience with application performance analysis and tuning, preferred
- Hands-on experience leading technical evaluations
- Must be an outstanding storyteller and presenter.
- Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to work autonomously.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have strong interpersonal and social skills and operate as a thought leader.
- Must have a record of building and fostering strong customer relationships.
- Strong analytical problem solver and data analysis skills.
- Ability to analyze business and technical needs from customers and communicate them clearly to engineering teams.
- Comfortable with up to 30% travel.
- Open-minded, possess a fun attitude to work and be comfortable with ambiguity.
