JD - Category Manager

Location: Corporate Office, Ahmedabad

Reporting: The role reports directly to the Head Marketing (Domestic)

Key Responsibility Areas:

- Needs to have proficient experience in Brand Development (Product, Proposition & Packaging)

- Good to fully operational level knowledge on New product development, Consumer research, Product portfolio strategy etc

- Strategizing / Conceptualising Brand Proposition, Defining Packaging codes basis Consumer understanding - Good knowledge needed

- Should have worked closely with R&D team, Regulatory, Packaging team while designing Formulation / NPD etc

- Should have defined Brand / Category Roadmap in terms of Product launches

- Should have identified Product gaps / Issues and Opportunities of the brand he or shes working & ideated launching of products to fill the gaps

- Should have defined Brand codes / Guide lines / Category codes - Dos & dont's of the brand

- Should be aesthetically adept, articulate, pre disposed to consumer pov in terms of Brand input & output both

- Looking at this candidate for Food / Home / Baby care role. Hence will be good if this person has worked in Food care FC or Home care HC roles

- If they have worked in a Creative agency before switching onto Client side, will be a bonus

Education & Background:

- FMCG experience is must.

- Personal Care/ Home Care/ Foods segment experience will be an added advantage.

- Needs to have minimum 4 years of solid Brand Development experience (Product, Proposition & Packaging)
