Ayana Renewable Power - Manager/Deputy Manager - Strategy & Investments - CA/IIM/ISB/MDI/FMS

Typical job responsibilities include but not restricted to :

Strategy and Planning :

- Develop short-term and long-term business plans and financial projections and periodically monitor and assess financial performance of the Group;

- Assist the senior management in engaging the board, finance, audit, and investment committees around issues, trends, and changes in the strategy and investment related matters;

- Prepare crisp and impactful presentations with analytical insights on key strategic issues;

- M&A / Investments / Bids

Responsibility for handling the transaction from origination to closure. Specific responsibilities shall include :

- Preparation of detailed Financial Models and Information Memorandum and other material for IC approval

- Co-ordination with internal stakeholders (technical, EHS, legal etc.) and external stakeholders (legal, financial, technical DD agencies) for completion of due diligence

- Provide inputs for drafting of Definitive Documents and assist in negotiation with counter parties

- Maintain market intelligence on other M&A deals in the industry based on interactions with bankers, other third party sources

- Run multiple scenarios and keep the financial model updated with respect to transaction structure, due diligence etc. (the role requires extensive financial modelling)

- Review/audit financial models and bid documents for on-going tenders being participated by the Company

- Portfolio Management and Investor relations

- Continuous monitoring of the performance of all investee companies to ensure realization of desired returns; regular updation of financial models and business plan

- Carry out detailed review of financial models (single project as well as group level);

- Assist the investee companies in strategic assignments like special situations, one-off assignment related to development/financing/operations of projects.

Desired experience and expertise :

- 3-5 years of relevant experience in either the M&A/Business development teams of IPPs, transaction advisory teams of investment banks. Prior experience in renewable industry is a must.

- The candidate should have experience of the entire lifecycle of at least 1 M&A transaction in energy space

- MBA (Finance) from Tier 1 institute/CA

- Excellent academic track record and technical acumen
