Desired profile of the candidate :

- Postgraduate in Statistics/ Economics/ Econometrics/ Mathematics

- SAS Knowledge is must. R/ SPSS is value add.

- Should have knowledge of Analytical applications in banking/ insurance industry.

- Sound knowledge of statistics is a must.

- Model development and validation knowledge is a must.

- Should have hands on expertise with Data Mining & Predictive Modeling techniques like Regression, Decision Tree, Nueral Net, Survival Models, Time Series & Forecasting

Job Description / Responsibilities :

- Responsible for driving analytics project from the phase information gathering to model implementation

- Should be able to articulate business problem to analytical formulation.

- Should be able to understand and generalize business problem/ requirement and drive the model development exercise.

- Selection of proper statistical techniques and conceptualization for business class implementation of analytical models.

- Responsible to drive/ manage team development.

- Define and design model development plan, e.g., data selection/ collection, statistical technique selection, model development/ validation approach, model implementation approach, business consumption approach etc.
