Axience - Senior Analyst/Assistant Manager - Financial Research

We are looking for candidates with financial/investment research experience to be part of Axience's Financial Research team. The selected candidates will be responsible for managing a team of analysts and work along with the Senior Manager of Financial Research on key projects within the financial research function. Detailed responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

- Handle projects ranging from industry research, equity research, investment banking support, financial modeling, making presentations and report writing

- Work on multiple projects - including a mix of dedicated and ad-hoc projects

- Independently deliver projects end to end including client interactions

- Manage a team of analysts, junior analysts and data analysts

- Working on projects requiring a variety of skill sets such as fund modeling, M&A models, equity research, thematic reports, presentations on complex subjects with minimal or no support

- Supporting in marketing efforts through collateral building across specialization for different geographies

- Working on pilot projects along with the Senior Manager of Financial Research and senior management

- Responsible for training and monitoring the work of junior analysts and other subordinates

- Manage the delivery schedule in the absence of Reporting Manager

Academic and professional background

- 4-10 years of relevant experience in financial / investment research field with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

Equity research - detailed financial modeling and comprehensive report writing skills

Investment banking and private equity research - preparation of pitch books, information memorandums/private placement memorandums, target identification, complex financial modeling, investment opportunity evaluation, comps and transaction analysis, in-depth industry research

- CFA/MBA from top tier college with top 10% academic performance in the class

- Candidate must have academic excellence throughout in at least one of the following:

Top 5 in the class throughout academic career

In top 25% of top 10 degree college of India (in that category)

Proven record of being a leader in sports or other extracurricular activities

Any other qualities which clearly differentiates the candidate from others

- International exposure through travel or education is desired

- Prior experience of working in KPO / investment banks / captive units of international investment banks / brokerage houses

- Must have an exceptional performance track record and should be a top quartile professional throughout his/her career

- Should be proactive in prioritizing and organizing the tasks to meet deadlines, while working on multiple projects

- Ability to monitor/handle the junior analysts

- Superior analytical, interpersonal skills and ability to dig deeper into the problems and suggest solutions

- Advanced skills in a variety of computer applications and reporting tools including, but not limited to, MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
